Michael
is the third generation of his family to stride the boards, following his father Skip Homeier (who also worked in film and
television), and his grandmother Blanche Evonne Smith, who founded the original Vagabond Players in Paris in 1928. Michael’s stage work includes the revival of Tom Hill’s
Obie- and Brandeis-award winning “The Chair,” the acclaimed “Welcome Home, Soldier” at Playhouse West (where Michael studied with Robert
Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum), and The Vagabond Players’ productions of “Bridal
Terrorism,” “Hit By a Bus,” and “The Devil on This Earth” (for which he was nominated for an ADA Award for Best Supporting Actor). A practicing
attorney and public speaker (about cancer survivorship), Michael founded The Vagabond Players in August 1997, and serves as
Managing Director.
